Where does Bits & Pieces get its merchandise?
All of our merchandise is generously donated to us by members of this community who want to see their donations go to a great cause.
How do my donations make a difference?
Your donations allow Bits & Pieces to contribute to the community in the following ways:
– Generates revenue to support the range of services provided by the Family Crisis Center to victims of domestic and sexual violence
– Assists individuals impacted by the issues of domestic and sexual violence and other disparities
– Provides material items such as clothing, housewares, and furniture to clients of the Family Crisis Center through a voucher system
– Provides material items such as clothing and housewares to individuals in need in the community through referrals from other social service agencies
– Provides the community an excellent means of recycling, reusing, and re-purposing items, thus lessening the burden on our landfills
Does Bits & Pieces ever sell items on consignment?
The purpose of Bits & Pieces is to generate revenue to support the services of the Family Crisis Center. As such, we do not accept items on consignment.
What is your return policy?
The store does not offer refunds on items purchased at the thrift store with the exception of offering in-store credit for returned non-working electronics. Customers requesting in-store credit for non-working electronics must do so within 5 days of purchase and must have the original receipt.
Do you offer a tax receipt for my donation?
Absolutely! One will be offered to you at the time you drop off your donations.
Is there anything else I should know?
Yes! We love the generosity of the community but sometimes we have to decline certain items in the interest of safety. Due to routine product safety recalls, we may have to refuse certain cribs, toys, and baby gear. Also, due to expiration dates now assigned on child car seats, and for safety reasons, we cannot accept car seats. We generally do not accept mattresses, however, we will make exceptions when they are in excellent condition.
Because it causes additional expenses, which takes away from the money we are trying to raise for victims of domestic and sexual violence, we ask that you not bring in damaged, unsellable furniture or stained mattresses. We appreciate your support and help.
